Mr. Thomas Dingley, Third Officer of the s.s. “Buteshire,” was born in 1869, in Radnorshire, Wales. After several years at sea, during which he was on vessels trading to various parts of the globe, he secured his first certificate. When the s.s. “Buteshire” was launched on the Tyne, Mr. Dingley received his appointment to the position of third officer.
