Making New Zealand vol 01 no 02: The Maori

[imprint]

page 32

The letterpress for THE MAORI was prepared by Ernest and Pearl Beaglehole, the lay-out was the work of J. D. Pascoe, and the maps, sketch, pencil drawing, and scraper-board drawings were made by A. H. McLintock. The other illustrations were obtained from the collections, publications, institutions, and Government Departments to which acknowledgment has been made in the text. The cover picture is a portrait of Te Rangihaeata (1852) by Commander R. A. Oliver, and the border is copied from a rafter pattern in Augustus Hamilton's Maori Art (1896).
