After the Apocalypse
survivors find the two of us in such a knot
they decide it best not to disentangle us
but to freeze-dry us for public display
a testimony to the anguish of those final moments etc etc

or they bury us together
and the people standing around the grave's lip
look down
at the couple so deeply in love
at such deep down dead love

and as the first shovelful stings my thigh
I open my eyes and see
the sky a solid blue rectangle
and it's ah please please get me etc etc
