Watercolour 178 x 343 mm

Sea to the right, with a beach, with two women and a man on horseback. Low bushes in the centre right foreground, in the centre a Maori man in a flax cloak pointing twoards the sea and in conversation with a Pakeha man; two Maori walking away in a red and a black cloak; another man, apparently aiming a slingshot; and two other Maori figures, seated on the ground.
