No. 607, 1904.—Petition of Niniwa Heremaia.

Petitioner prays that the Bill now before the House proposing to give power to take her lands, the Ngawhakaakupe 8 D Block, may not be allowed to pass.

I am directed to report that, as this petition refers to a matter of policy, the Committee offers no opinion as to its merits, but recommends that the same should be referred to the Government for consideration.
